Day 1: Marrakech – Ait ben haddou kasbah – Nkoub:
Our 4 days desert trip from Marrakech to Merzouga will begin early. We will come to pick you up from your hotel or Riad at approximately 8:00 AM. Then, we will be traveling over the Tizi Ntichka Pass, the High Atlas Mountains, and Adobe Berber communities, where we will have some stops to enjoy the beautiful landscapes before arriving at Kasbah Ait Ben Hadou, where many movies filmed such as Game of Thrones, Gladiator…After lunch in Ouarzazate, we leave for Agdz, which means a resting place in Berber, as it used to be the resting place for ancient camel caravans crossing North Africa’s Sahara desert from Marrakech to Timboctou. Thereafter, we Leave for the Sud direction, where the drive along the legendary Draa Valley will begin. Drive past various mud-brick villages scattered along the Valley until we get to Nkoub town, where we spend our night in a hotel/riad.
Day2: Nkoub – Errissani – Merzouga desert:
After breakfast in the hotel, we continue our 4-day tour from Marrakech to Dades and the desert by crossing the volcanic massifs of the Sud-eastern slopes of the Anti-Atlas Mountains until we arrive at Rissan, where we will have a chance to visit one of the best local colorful markets in Morocco. After that, we leave for Merzouga desert, where we find the camels waiting for you to start the best adventure of the camel ride and crossing the dunes of Erg Chebbi, where you will have a stop in the best place to enjoy the sunset of a lifetime in the middle of Merzouga sand dunes.
Then, you will reach to camp after sunset, where you find the staff of the camp waiting for you with a cup of tea. In addition, you will have dinner and breakfast in the camp and after dinner, you will have a party near the campfire under a starry sky. Night in the camp.
Day 3: Merzouga desert – Todra gorges – Dades gorges:
Considering that you are already in the desert, it is worthwhile to rise early today to witness the sunrise close to the camp. Following these beautiful moments, you will eat breakfast and take a shower at the camp. After that, you can either ride the camels again or take a 4WD back to the original starting point where you took the camels. After that, we’ll pass via little Berber settlements like Touroug, Tinjdad, and the Tinghir, where we’ll stop to appreciate its stunning Todra valley rich in palm trees, and flora, as we continue your 4-day desert journey from Marrakech to the Sahara desert. We proceed to the Todra Gorge, a well-known destination for rock climbers, which is situated at the base of the tall Atlas Mountains. There will be time for us to stroll through its steep canyons.
We’ll have a lunch break before traveling to Boumalne Dades in the afternoon. Once in Dades Valley, we’ll eat dinner and spend the night at a hotel or riad.
Day 4: Dades Gorges – Ouarzazte – Marrakech:
After breakfast, we continue our trip toward Marrakech via Kalaat M’gouna, Rose Valley, and Skoura Palm Grove on the final day of our four-day Marrakech desert tour. We visit the film studios in Ouarzazate (optional). Thereafter, we proceed with our journey across the High Atlas highlands by way of Tizi N’tichka, Morocco’s highest road pass. Rising 2260 meters above sea level, this route provides breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys, mountains, and Berber communities. Your four-day desert excursion from Fes to Marrakech concludes when you arrive in the afternoon or evening. After that, you transfer to your accommodation.
