Option 1:

DAY 1: Marrakech – UNESCO Kasbah – Dades Gorge:

 

After breakfast, we will start our 4 days desert trip from Marrakech to Fes, we will drive to Dades Gorge. Then, on the road, you will enjoy amazing views of the High Atlas Mountains traveling through the Tizi n’Tichka pass at 2,260 m. Thereafter, you will stop in Ait Ben Haddou to discover the famous World Heritage Kasbah in Morocco. After lunch,  you will explore Ouarzazate film studios, then we drive to Skoura and on the road to Dades, we will enjoy the beautiful Rose Valley. Finally, you reach Boumalne Dades to spend the night in the Dades Gorges with dinner in a local riad/hotel.

DAY 2: Dades Gorge – Tinghir Gorge –  Merzougan desert:

DAY 4: Merzouga – Midelt – Fes:

1st day: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate :

Departure our Marrakech to Fes desert trip at about 08:00 towards the High Atlas, through the Tinchka pass (2.260 meters). Thereafter, we will take the road of “Telouat”, then we enjoy beautiful views of the small Berber villages and the great view of the road. After that, we will visit the history Kasbah of “L’Glaoui” and the spectacular Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a set of famous films, including Asterix and Obelix, the Gladiator, and many others. Thereafter, we head to Ouarzazate which is called the “Hollywood of Africa”. Here, we will stop to visit the UNESCO Studios and spend overnight in Ouarzazate.

2nd Day: Ouarzazate – Dades – Gorges of the Todra:

In the morning after breakfast, we will continue our 4 days itinerary desert trip from Marrakech to Fes towards the palm grove of Skoura, the Valley of the Roses, and cross the Dades Valley making several stops to admire the view and take some photos. 3th day: Todra gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga:

4th day: Merzouga – Midelt – Fes:

AIT BEN HADDOU:

Ait Ben Haddou is a ksar (fortified city) in southern Morocco, located on the left bank of the Ouarzazate River on a hillside. Since 1987 it has been protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. All of the ksar’s dwellings are built of reddish-brown clay. Houses with flat roofs are located on the hillside with terraces, the streets run horizontally and are connected by arches and narrow passages. ⠀

The city was founded presumably in the XI century to protect the caravan route. The Todra River (like the neighboring Dades River) has carved a canyon with steep walls in the cliffs here. One part of the gorge narrows to 10 meters wide with the surrounding rocks 160 meters high.
