Program:

Day 1: Fes – Medilt – Todra Gorge

Departure from Fes to Todra Gorges after breakfast to reach Ifrane cedar forests of Azrou where the wild monkeys. Then, be a good photo opportunity of the Moroccan desert. Lunch in a small Berber village Zaida. Thereafter, we follow the road through the Atlas Medilt tourism mountains to reach the small American town. Here, we turn right to pass through the famous town of Imilchil, before reaching the Todra Gorge, arriving in the afternoon of Todra

Day 2: Todra Gorge – Merzouga Desert Todra

in the morning, After breakfast, we depart to Merzouga, towards the valley of Daraa where one of the longest rivers of Morocco rises. After that, several stops to contemplate the pretty kasbahs of unbaked brick and Berber villages that spring up along the road and the wonders of the Draa. After lunch in Alnif, a 2-hour drive to the impressive dunes of Merzouga, where we will have a hospitality tea while we rest a bit from the trip. Then, night in a Berber hotel or riad.

Day 3:: Merzouga – Desert tour in 4×4 – Camel ride known in the desert

We set off to circle the Erg Chebbi, an extension of the sand desert where the Great Dune of Morocco is more than 250 meters high, contacting by track with part of the route taken by the old Paris-Dakar, with the mountains that mark the border with Algeria at the bottom. After that, stop in the oasis of Tissardmin and continue towards a nomadic camp where we will know some habits and secrets of their life. Afterwards, we will stop at a panoramic point where we will be able to contemplate the whole of Erg Chebbi. Then, stop in Khamlia, a village originally from Mali, where we will be able to relax with a tea while listening to a small concert of Gnawa music. 2-hour journey to arrive at the impressive dunes of Merzouga, where we will have a hospitality tea while we rest a bit from the journey.

Here, we leave our suitcases and everything we don’t need for the desert at the hotel and we leave in a group of dromedaries for about an hour and a half that will take us to the foot of the Great Dune, welcomed by the beautiful desert sunset. Then, dinner in the camp and night in a tent in the heart of the desert under its spectacular blanket of stars.

Day 4: Merzouga – Fes

After an early sunrise, we return to Merzouga on camels, after taking shower and breakfast we will start our tour back to Fes.
