This 8 days Morocco tour from Marrakech is intended for visitors to Morocco who arrives in Marrakech in the morning and wants to leave immediately, crossing the High Atlas over the 2,200 m pass Tizi-Tichka and entering a world of picturesque mountain villages where goats and sheep graze on the slopes and street vendors offer the beautiful minerals of the mountains. Afterwards, we will immediately continue on the road of the Kasbahs with beautifully decorated clay castles from ancient times to Skoura and the gorges of the Dades and Todra. Thereafter, we continue our beautiful route through Erfoud and Rissani. There the immense sand sea of Erg Chebbi appears in front of you, where you will have a rest day in a beautiful Auberge with a pool.

You will spend a few days in the fascinating city of Marrakech, living in a riad that makes the dream of the Orient come true, strolling through the souks of Marrakech, marvelling at the snake charmers and musicians on the Djemaa el-Fna, before being picked up at the riad and taken to the airport.

PROGRAM:

Day 1:

Our driver will pick you up from the airport in an air-conditioned SUV. The drive is over the picturesque High Atlas Mountains with photo stops as often as you like. Lunch is at historic Ksar Ait Benhaddou, a centuries-old kasbah village that has been declared a Unesco World Heritage Site. In the evening, arrive at the palm oasis of Skoura, on the road of the kasbahs. You will spend the night at Auberge or Hotel in a double room with a bathroom, very good dinner and breakfast. Also, the Auberge has a beautiful pool.

Day 2:

From Skoura you will drive through the Valley of Roses to the Dades Gorge. Part of this route is a dirt road. Then, the road through the Dades Gorge leads on partly narrow serpentines through a breathtaking landscape. Moreover, bizarre red rocks jut out of greenery you wouldn’t think possible in southern Morocco, with the Dades River rippling between them with its freshwater. After that, we will return to Boumalne and continue to the Todra Gorge until we reach the mountain village of Tamtatouchte. Depending on the weather conditions, it is also possible that you drive the cross-connection from the Dades to the Todra Gorge via Msemrir, a very interesting route through the wild Atlas. In case of snowfall in winter, this track, which is only possible for off-road vehicles, is impassable. In Tamtatouchte you will sleep in a lovely auberge. There are rooms with private baths and again very good typical food.

Day 3:

From Tamtatouchte our 8 days desert tour from Marrakech will take a rather unknown but beautiful route of Todra gorges through Erfoud and Rissani to the immense sand sea of the Erg Chebbi. Then, you will stay in a beautiful Auberge directly at the dunes near Merzouga. Also, the Auberge has a pool which is ideal for a rest day.

Day 4:

you will have an excursion to explore the beauty of the desert and visit the nomads in their tents. Moreover, you will have a chance to listen to the great Gnaoua Music. Thereafter, you will back to the hotel to have an hour to be ready for the best adventure in your life. In addition, you will experience the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi by camel. Besides, the camel guide will take you to the best places, where you will enjoy the sunset of a lifetime. Finally, you will reach desert camp in the afternoon, where you will enjoy watching the starry sky after dinner and spend an unforgettable night in a luxury desert camp.

Day 5:

In the early morning, you will wake up to watch an amazing sunrise. Then, after breakfast, you return to Rissani and continue your 8 days Marrakech desert trip, if you are lucky it will be market day and you will have the opportunity to visit this colourful picturesque market. Thereafter, from Rissani an asphalt road goes over to the Draa valley. In the evening you will sleep in a beautiful Riad in Ouarzazate, which is a famous place for cinema.

Day 6:

In the morning, you will explore Ouarzazate by visiting the movies studio and the famous Kasbah in Morocco (Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah). Thereafter, you will return to Marrakech via the Tizi-Tichka, which is a good 2000 meters high. In Marrakech, you will stay in a romantic riad in the old town in a double room with breakfast.

Day 7:

Today you will have the opportunity to explore the old town and make final purchases in the picturesque souks. Excellent breakfast will be served at the riad, the rest of the meals will be self-organized.

Day 8:

Pick up from the Hotel or Riad on your flight time, then transfer to the airport.
