Marrkech desert trip 3 days

Program:

DAY 1: MARRAKECH – TIZI-N-TICHKA – AIT BENHADDOU – KASBAH OF SKOURA – DADES GORGES

Departure our 3 days desert tour from Marrakech after breakfast towards the High Atlas, we cross the Tizi-n-Tichka pass at 2260m and drive along small Berber villages clinging to the mountain. Then, the road is winding and offers a breathtaking and varied panorama: mountains that, depending on the season, can be covered in snow, or bare and barren, majestic and mysterious, full of secrets and history, vegetation that ranges from palm trees to pines, and a myriad of other plants, valleys crossed by streams or rivers. We will then reach the fortified village of Ait Benhaddou. Visit and lunch. We will then proceed to visit the palm grove and the Kasbah of Skoura, on the road to El Kalee M’Goun. We will then continue towards the Dades Valley, crossing the Valley of Roses. Arrival at the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 2: DADES VALLEY – TODRA GORGES – ERFOUD – ERG CHEBBI MERZOUGA

After breakfast, we depart for the desert of Merzouga. Firstly, we will visit the palm grove and the Todra Gorges, consisting of vertical rock walls of enormous and majestic proportions. Thereafter, we continue towards Erfoud (city of fossils) until we reach Merzouga. In the afternoon, we leave the car and take the dromedary to cross the dunes of the desert (1 hr and a half) and arrive at the tented camp. Then, you spend the night in a typical Berber tent or luxury desert camp (depending on your choice) in the heart of the desert and enjoy the sunset, the stars and the moon as you have never seen them, the sunrise…..Dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: MERZOUGA – RISSANI – N’KOUB – DRAA VALLEY – AGDEZ – OUARZAZATE – MARRAKECH

Wake up early in the morning to admire the sunrise and then return by dromedary to the car. After that, we depart to Rissani (the first city next desert) where we will stop to see the characteristic market, the largest in southern Morocco. We will then continue towards the Draa Valley where we will visit the Kasbah Tamnogalt, in the heart of the valley. Thereafter, we will again cross the High Atlas range to arrive in the evening in Marrakech. Overnight stay.
