PROGRAM:

Day 1: Airport – Marrakech

You will be picked up from the airport in Marrakech and transferred to the riad. There you will spend the night with breakfast.

Day 2: Marrakech – Casablanca – Rabat

You will be picked up at the riad in the morning around 8 am, then start driving on the highway to Casablanca, a duration of about 2 hours. The driver will drop you off at the mosque for sightseeing. Afterwards, drive to Rabat. Accommodation in a riad near the Kasbah, it is not far from the sights. Here, we recommend a walk completely without a guide, Rabat is an international city and false, annoying guides do not exist.

Day 3: Rabat – Meknes

In the morning you will continue our 15 days Morocco tour from Marrakech to Meknes. Also, you will have enough time to stroll around the city and have lunch on your own (not included in the price).

Day 4: Meknes – Moulay Idriss – Volubils – Fes

Around 10 am, your driver will pick you up and you will take an excursion to the historic town of Moulay Idriss. Only a few decades ago, this holy place was closed to non-believers. Thereafter, a short walk up to the heights will reward you with a great view. Then, from there we continue to Volubilis. Here, is not only worthwhile because of the Roman ruins, but the landscape is also very pretty. Moreover, the walk through the ruins takes about 2 hours, so you can continue to Fes in time. Thereafter, your dinner at the old medina or at the riad.

Day 5: Fes

After breakfast, you will meet your local guide. Then, you will have an amazing excursion with him to explore the beauty of the old medina in Fes…

Day 6: Fes – Azrou – Midelt

Early in the morning, you will be picked up at your riad. The drive goes over the red-brown mountains of the Middle Atlas. Thereafter, passing high cedar forests, you will reach the pretty winter resort of Ifrane and Azrou, the most important craft centre in the region that specializes in cedar woodwork and carpentry. In addition, Monkeys still live in the surrounding mountains, if you are lucky you can see them along the way. After Zad Pass (2,178 m), you will reach the mining town of Midelt. Here, you will spend the night with half board.

Day 7: Midelt- Erfoud – Merzouga

Today you will drive from Midelt to Errachidia, where you will go through the magnificent gorge of the Ziz to Erfoud and Rissani to the immense sand sea of Erg Chebbi. On the way, you will have the opportunity to visit the Foggaras. In the afternoon, you will take the road to the immense sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Then, you will arrive at your Hotel in the afternoon. In addition, this is located right next to the great sand dunes, but you will sleep in a comfortable room with a bathroom and air conditioning. Moreover, the hotel has a swimming pool.

Day 8: Erg Chebbi

Today the big desert adventure begins. Here, you will take a drive around the sand dunes. Thereafter, visit rock engravings, maybe even find sites for minerals, until you board the waiting camels in the afternoon to ride to your bivouac.

Day 9: Merzouga – Todra Gorges

In the morning you have to say goodbye to the desert. Then, you will go back to Erfoud and pass Jerf and Tinjdad. Thereafter, begins an interesting road, tarred only a few years ago, through the Todra Gorge into the High Atlas, where you will spend your night

Day 10: Todra Gorges – Dades – Skoura

After breakfast, the mountain adventure begins. Firstly, you will drive on a stony track from Todra Gorges over to the Dades Gorge through a unique mountain landscape. Over countless serpentines, you will then return to asphalt. Then, you will have the opportunity for a short hike. After that, we continue on the road of the 1000 Kasbahs, one of the most beautiful routes in Morocco. In addition, the landscape is steppe-like and desolate with scattered camel thorn bushes until suddenly an oasis appears with its lush green gardens, reddish-brown kasbahs and pink roses. Also, the Dades Valley is a centre of rose water and oil, pressed from the millions of particularly intensely fragrant flowers and sold in many places along the road. Thereafter, you will spend the night near Skoura or at Ouarzazate with a magnificent view over the palm grove to the slopes of the High Atlas.

Day 11: Skoura – Ouarzazate – Marrakech – Essaouira

From Skoura you will travel via Ouarzazate to the High Atlas Mountains. Thereafter, depending on your wishes, you can visit the Kasbah Taourirt in Ouarzazate or make a detour to the Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Then, dating back to the 16th century, this fortified village is one of the best-preserved and most spectacular kasbahs in Morocco and has served as a backdrop for many films; in 2000, the blockbuster “Gladiator” was filmed there. After that, you will drive over the picturesque High Atlas Mountains with the mountain pass Tizi-n-Tichka at 2,260 meters. In addition, you can enjoy the landscape and pass Berber huts built of stone and clay on steep mountain slopes. Also, goats and sheep are led to pastures blooming in spring, mountain streams roar. In the afternoon, you will reach Marrakech and immediately continue to Essaouira.

Day 12: Essaouira

Today you will have a relaxing day in Essaouira. Moreover, you can walk to the harbour and do your last shopping in the medina.

Day 13: Essaouira – Marrakech

You will arrange with the driver at what time you would like to be picked up in Essaouira. Then, the drive to Marrakech will take about 2 ½ hours. Overnight stay in a nice riad.

Day 14: Marrakech

Today you can continue sightseeing in Marrakech.

Day 15:

In the morning a driver will pick you up at the riad and take you to the airport.
