Some of the places in our 3 days Marrakech desert tour to Fes:

AIT BEN HADDOU:

Ait Benhaddou is one of the most typical examples of traditional Moroccan adobe architecture. The Kasbah dwellings are built of reddish-brown clay, and houses with flat roofs are located on the hillside with terraces, the streets are connected by arches and narrow passages, which gives the feeling of being in an Aladdin movie. Speaking of movies!
This is one of the favourite places for Hollywood filmmakers. Many films were filmed here, such as the mummy, the gladiator, Alexander, the Prince of Persia, and even the famous TV series Clone. The place has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987, and in the XI, Ksar was built to guard the caravan route, carried out by the Sahara trade.

Dades Gorges or Boumalne Gorges:

The Dades Gorges are a series of rugged gorges carved out by the River of Dades in Morocco and are filled with spring water. In addition, the River originates in the High Atlas Mountains, flowing about 350 km southwest before joining The River of Draa in the Sahara desert. Moreover, the strait is 45km long and contains the largest and most dramatic red rock formations. Also, the walls of the Dades Strait are about 500 meters high. The road to the strait brings you a wonderful experience of driving down a road littered with interesting Berber villages and green oases with palm trees.

Todra Gorges or Tinghir Gorges:

The Todra Gorges are a series of limestone river canyons. Its valley is filled with spring water and it belongs to the city of Tinghir. Also, It is known for the beauty of its strait, which is attracting many visitors and Dades valley, both are responsible for carving out these deep cliff-sided canyons. Besides, It is an important tourist destination in the southeast of the Kingdom of Morocco.

MERZOUGA DESERT:

If in Morocco there is a place that smells of mint tea and the sunsets are brighter than ever, it is Merzouga, an outpost of the most beautiful desert in North Africa, where the sand is tinged with red and becomes silkier. Here, you will follow the caravans on the dunes, get to know the ancient tribes and visit Erg Chebbi, the highest expanse of dunes in the country. Also, it is possible to experience the true lifestyle of nomads by spending the night in a desert camp.

To visit Merzouga, contact us then will notify you about the great tour depending on your starting point, you can choose to travel by camel or opt for an exciting tour in a 4 x 4 that cuts through the high sand dunes. Merzouga and its dunes offer an incredible spectacle. The sensation one feels in front of this spectacle of nature is one of almost helplessness.

AZROU:

City of Azrou (Middle Atlas) and the cedar forest growing in its district, named after General Henri Gouraud. Massive 800-year-old cedar was discovered by French troops during a campaign to suppress the anti-colonial uprisings of 1917-1919, the cedar forest that grows along the road connecting Azrou and Ifrane is also named after Gouraud. Known as the home of the Berber macaques, the Magots, are an endangered species of monkeys. They are not aggressive, if they are not harshly, not loudly and calmly, but still, extra caution does not hurt.
These macaques live in the forests of the highlands near Azrou, which is not far from Moroccan Switzerland (Ifrane).

IFRANE:

Ifrane is a snowy city as it sits over 1,600 meters above sea level. The climate here is appropriate. Snow lies in the city from January to March. The city of Ifrane is called “Moroccan Switzerland”, cause it is somewhat reminiscent of a standard European town, initially. Ifran was founded by the Berber tribes and in translation, the name of the city is designated as “caves”. It is located among the Middle Atlas mountain range. This is due to the fact that the locals built their homes right in the ground. In 1929, after the establishment of the French protectorate, Ifrane began to actively defend.

FES:

The souk of Fez is a labyrinth of streets full of stalls. A real explosion of colours smells and flavours where you can find ceramics, mosaics, carpets and other handicrafts. To get to the tannery you can do it in two ways:
By cab to the door or, for me the best and most beautiful, walking through the Medina through the famous and beautiful Blue Door. Of course, always guided by someone who knows it well, since getting into the narrow streets of the Medina is getting into a maze from which it is not easy to get out. The tannery is surrounded by leather goods stores with terraces, where you can see the very hard work of the people in the vats.
